The TED Digital Photo Lab was introduced for the first time at TED2007. The results are in, and they are, in a word, spectacular. The folks at TED announced their new website - TED.com - on Monday, and it is rich. It has been designed to emphasize the video and audio recordings from previous TED events, including the extremely popular TEDTalks, so that the world can enjoy the rarified content that is shared live by only several hundred people.
TED members can participate in the TED community in a new way by creating a user profile that allows for comments and the exchange of ideas.
The New York Times wrote a great article about TED and the new site. Here it is.
There are 30 new TEDTalks up on the site, so settle in and get started.
Along with the launch of the new website on Monday, the TED folks debuted a seven minute video, entitled A Taste of TED, that captures the essence of every TED but highlights the special moments of this year's event. It's an extraordinary feat, summarizing days of profound, moving discussions and activities.
Definitely a must-see. It's on the front page of the new site here.
